Prohibited Items Policy
AssetShift is a bulk, dry-freight marketplace. To protect buyers, sellers, carriers, and end customers, some categories of goods cannot be listed or moved through the platform.
Not allowed
The following inventory is not permitted on AssetShift, whether as a listing, direct sale, or freight request:
- Explosives, fireworks, ammunition, or weapons.
- Hazardous materials subject to special transport rules.
- Pressurized or flammable aerosols and gases.
- Perishable or temperature-controlled food products.
- Human or animal biological materials.
- Controlled substances, cannabis, or tobacco products.
- Counterfeit, stolen, or grey-market goods.
- Inventory that violates local, provincial, or federal law.
Restricted or case-by-case
The categories below may be considered only with advance review and documentation from the seller:
- Chemicals and industrial inputs that are non-hazardous.
- Large machinery that requires special rigging or permits.
- Inventory subject to brand, MAP, or channel restrictions.
- Products with embedded batteries where shipping is regulated.
If you are unsure whether your inventory is allowed, contact AssetShift before creating a listing or submitting a direct-sale intake.
Enforcement
- Listings that breach this policy may be removed without notice.
- Accounts repeatedly attempting to list prohibited items may be suspended.
- We may share information with carriers or authorities where required by law.
