Freight Terms
Freight & Logistics Terms
These terms apply when you use AssetShift to request, quote, or coordinate freight. They sit alongside our main Terms of Service and Buyer Protection policy.
Quote workflow
- Freight quotes are based on the dimensions, weight, and pickup / delivery details you provide.
- Material changes to the load (pallet count, weight, access requirements) may change the final charge.
- Quotes are valid only for the time window shown in the freight tools or quote email.
Options & responsibilities
- AssetShift supports two paths after payment:
- Customer-arranged pickup: you send your own carrier or vehicle after payment.
- AssetShift-arranged transportation: AssetShift coordinates a carrier and shares tracking after payment.
- When using AssetShift carriers, pickup and delivery windows are estimates and depend on site readiness.
- The shipping party is responsible for accurate palletization, packaging, and labelling of goods.
Insurance & liability
- Basic carrier liability limits apply unless a higher level of coverage is explicitly arranged.
- Claims for damage or loss must be reported within the timelines set by the carrier and supported with photos and BOL notes.
- AssetShift is not a carrier; we coordinate between you and logistics partners where applicable.
For large or high-value shipments, contact AssetShift to confirm coverage limits and documentation requirements before booking.
